Hello! I am back today with another pocket page, this time about a trip I went on earlier this year with my oldest daughter to California. One of the most fun things we got to do on that trip was visit Disneyland and California Adventure. You might not know this, but my girls and I are HUGE Disney fans. My husband, not so much.
We had only planned on going two days, one for each park, but we quickly changed our minds. We had so much fun!! I can’t wait to take my younger daughter there at some point!
So, onto my page. I used the Reflections kit from Sweet Stamp Shop along with some of their stamp sets. I must say, the colors of the kits and these particular stamp sets really worked well with what I was going for.
The card in the lower right of the page has all of these awesome prompts and this is so great for me because I absolutely HATE to journal. All I ever end up doing is writing where we were or what we were doing in very short bits and the date that they happened on.
But what’s really great about those prompts? They also come in stamp form with more than what’s shown above!
Let’s take a look at the different parts of the layout.
Here is a closer look at those prompts. They originally came on a 4×6 horizontal card, but since I was working with vertical 4x6s, I cut it down and paired it with the green dot 3×4 card and some green cardstock.
For the horizontal 3×4 cards I used the Enjoy Calligraphy stamps set. The technique that I used on those cards has been showing up just about everywhere, so I decided I had to do it myself. I used white embossing powder on watercolor paper, embossed the quote and then watercolored with my Peerless watercolors over the stamped words.
I used colors that were close to the ones already in the rest of the page and I have to say that I enjoyed it very much!
Well, I hope you enjoyed today’s post and look forward to seeing you soon!!
