Hello! Today I am sharing a sweet matching game with you that I made for my little nephews when they come to visit.
I used quite a few different Sweet Stamp Shop stamp sets and elements for this project.
I started out with white cardstock cut at 1.75″ x 1.75″ for the images. I colored them with Copic markers and then backed them with 2″ x 2″ squares cut from polka dot cards that came in the Reflections On Cherry Street kit.
On the back of the cards I stamped an “m” (for memory or match) and colored them in. The “m” came from the Outline Lower Alpha stamp set.For each of the images I stamped two of each and then colored them in so they looked the same. I used images from the following stamp sets: Beach Bum, Royal Wish and the On Cherry Street – Magical kit.Since my nephews are almost 3 and 3 years old, I kept the count of the cards down to just 12. I can always add on or make new ones as they get older!Once I saw them playing, I did decide that I am going to laminate the cards, just to make them a little more sturdy for their little fingers so they last longer. If you happen to make any of your own games or special items for kids, we would love to see what you make!!
