So, I don’t know about you, but this is my favorite time of year! I just can’t get enough of that fall smell, the leaves falling and all of the beautiful colors. Yesterday, I spent the afternoon at an apple orchard and pumpkin farm with my girls and I just enjoyed it so much.
As you can probably tell, I haven’t really made too many Halloween projects this year. This is a huge switch up for me because normally I am all about Halloween. I had more fun planning Halloween projects than any other holiday, even Christmas. But this year, it’s just not in me. I think it probably has to do with the fact that neither of my girls are going trick or treating. And I suppose that I am not the only one who gets affected like this because my kids are growing up, but it really brings the fact that I have a limited amount of time with them before they go off to begin a new life where they don’t constantly need their mom or dad to the forefront of my mind.
Okay, so enough with the blithering, blathering. Today I would like to share with you a couple of cards that I made using the Peachy Keen Stamps October Release. My wonderful, very talented friend Angelica gave her mom, the owner at Peachy Keen, a much needed break and illustrated this month’s release. She did a fantastic job and I was so excited to make some projects with the stamps. I love PKS’s releases every month, but this one kind of feels like a special edition because it just doesn’t normally happen. 🙂
I had so much fun with this card! I thought this leaf paired so well with the Dapper Dan collection from Glitz.
And then this card was so fun using the two different pinecones to do some two-step stamping.
