Wow! Where has this summer gone? I hope you all are having a great one. We have been super busy (as always) with soccer games and tournaments and many camping trips. It will all soon come to an end though. The biggest little starts school in less than a month!
Even though there hasn’t been much blogging as of late, I have been working on some projects that I am excited to share soon. I have been completely overwhelmed with emotions with my oldest going into her junior year in high school, so scrapbooking with pocket pages to try to document things I know I am going to miss has become very important lately.
Well, I should probably get to the reason why I am here today. We are at the end of the week of a week long Facebook fan page hop between Peachy Keen Stamps and KaDoodle Bug Designs celebrating Christmas in July. You can find the beginning of today’s hop at the KaDoodle Bug Designs Facebook page, though I wanted to share a more detailed look at my project with you here on the blog.
I started out working with the Jingles the Elf file from Kadoodle Bug Designs and added a face from the Wide Eyed Kids 1 1/8″ stamp set. I used a flesh colored paper for the face and then used some Copic markers to add a small bit of shading. A little bit of pink chalk was used on his cheeks.
The mini mailbox came from Target a while back, but they still tend to have similar ones around big holidays. I used patterned paper from It’s Christmas by Webster’s Pages and the twine is the Gold Shimmer from The Twinery.
I hope you enjoyed my project today and get a chance to hop along with the rest of the lovely ladies participating in the Christmas in July hop!!
